  • Process evaluations and determine your account level and State
  • Calculate your Essence scores (Clarity, Contribution, Judgment, Respect)
  • Deliver content in your preferred language and provide translations
  • Enforce our community guidelines and Terms of Service
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, spam, or unauthorized access
  • Send service-related communications (such as email verification and account updates)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve platform performance
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase infrastructure, which provides database hosting, authentication, and file storage services. Our application is deployed on Vercel infrastructure. Both services maintain industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit and at rest.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage
  • Vercel — Application hosting and deployment
  • Google and Apple (planned) — OAuth authentication providers

These services may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

When we integrate additional authentication providers (such as Google or Apple Sign-In), we will collect only the minimum information necessary to authenticate your account.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Essyntia uses cookies and browser local storage for essential platform functionality:

  • Authentication session management
  • Language and locale preferences
  • Interface preferences

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. We do not track you across other websites.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the services you have requested:

  • Account and profile data are retained while your account exists
  • User-generated content remains on the platform unless you delete it or your account is terminated
  • System logs are retained for a reasonable period for security and operational purposes
  • Evaluation data and Essence scores are retained as part of your account progression

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or security reasons.

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — View your account information and activity through your profile and settings
  • Correction — Update your profile information, display name, and preferences at any time
  • Deletion — Request account deletion through settings, which removes your account and associated personal data
  • Language — Change your preferred language at any time through settings
  • Content — Delete your own posts and comments

8. Children's Privacy

Essyntia requires users to confirm they meet the minimum age requirement during registration. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we become aware that a user does not meet the age requirement, we will take steps to remove their account and associated data.

9. International Users

Essyntia is designed for a global audience. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using the platform, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in these locations. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely regardless of where it is processed.
